Two theatre works within the programme have come about through cross-cultural collaborations. The two companies discuss the making of their work, challenges and lessons learned along the way.

Tim Supple travelled from the UK to India and created A Midsummer Night's Dream with a cast and creative team sourced from across the subcontinent. Incorporating
several languages and theatre traditions, the miracle of this work is that it does not lose any of its coherence.

Jandamarra was created through a collaboration between the Bunuba people of Fitzroy Crossing in Australia's far north and Black Swan Theatre Company of Perth. The performance of this work in Bunuba, Kriol and English reflects the meeting of cultures in the Kimberley and the echoes of this story in modern Australia.
