Think of the film Sideways but with a decidedly French twist! Daniel Auteuil stars as a bourgeois Parisian painter renovating the country estate he has inherited. He hires a retired railway worker (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) to restore the vegetable garden.

The film explores the friendship between the two old school friends, now reacquainted after many decades, as they spend hours talking about their love of gardening and women, about family, work troubles and their ambitions, however small.

This is a sun-drenched and slightly melancholic take on the lives of two men who share so much because of - not in spite of - their differences.
