After being unemployed for three years, Gérard (Daniel Auteuil) accepts a job in Indonesia. He invites his ‘team leader' to dinner, but as his wife Colette (Valérie Lemercier) has no culinary skills, his neighbour Alexandre (Thierry L'Hermitte) comes to the rescue.

After a series of hilarious mishaps and misunderstandings, Gérard and Colette open their door and welcome their dinner guest. It's sheer joy watching three of France's most talented and versatile actors in top form in this finely paced comedy that started life as a hugely successful stage play.
