Lotterywest Festival Films :: Heartbreak Hotel
Touching, lighthearted and whimsical, this is guaranteed to delight. Elisabeth and Gudrun are divorcees in their early 40s who meet when Elisabeth is ticketed by Gudrun for parking illegally.
After a night out at the Heartbreak Hotel Nightclub, where feisty Elisabeth is a regular, they become bosom pals even though Gudrun finds her life is turned upside down by the friendship.
A lively celebration of what it means to be single and over 40 - this warm-hearted film, celebrating women and sisterhood, is brimming with great actors, loveable characters and a terrific soundtrack. Life may not begin at 40 - but it doesn't have to end there!
