Daniele Luchetti keeps the mood light while providing the necessary punch in this coming-of-age family drama, reinforcing the idea that political stances are less important than basic human decency.

Set in Latina, a city created by Mussolini's Fascist government during Italy's troubled 60s and 70s, the film centres on two politically divided brothers searching for stability in an uncertain world.

Blending humour and drama, the film provides a panoramic overview of the period as well as fascinating insights into the maturing political consciences of the youth of the day.
