Visual Arts :: Re-Face

Re-Face
WBMC & Ololo
Wesfarmers Art:City

At the heart of Re-Face is a website that allows established artists and unknowns, anyone who creates or experiences art, to share their work, their attitudes and their opinions about each other’s work and the value and the future of art in Western Australia.

In addition to the website that allows users to upload, view and comment on art from around Western Australia and the world, Re-Face takes the art to the public via two weekends of night-time projection exhibitions designed to challenge audience perceptions of art, street art and public space. How do people’s attitudes to street art change if the images are impermanent? And are people’s responses to everyday urban spaces made more vibrant?

The building-size projections are a mix of slideshows, interactive screens, curated collections and the backdrop for interactive panel discussions about art and public space.
